2026 Budget Community Engagement
Help shape Norfolk County’s future!
We're planning for 2026, and your input will help us decide which services and projects to focus on—things like roads, parks, housing, and emergency services.
What is the budget?
Think of the budget as Norfolk County’s spending plan. It helps us decide how to use money wisely to support the programs and services you rely on every day, and plan for tomorrow.
Each year, we create three budgets:
- Tax Budget – covers everyday services like road repairs and libraries. It is also known as the Levy Operating Budget.
- Capital Budget – funds big projects like building new facilities or upgrading infrastructure.
- Water and Wastewater Budget – supports clean water and proper waste management - also known as the Rate Budget.
Why your input matters
Your feedback helps Council and staff make smart decisions that reflect what’s important to you and your community. Whether it’s fixing potholes or improving parks, your ideas guide how we invest in Norfolk.
