Norfolk County is undertaking a Development Charge Background Study to review the current Development Charge By-Law 2019-100.
Development charges are fees collected from new development to help fund infrastructure required to support growth, including roads, water services and community facilities.
This page will be used to share project information, updates and engagement opportunities as the study progresses.
Information session
The County is hosting an information session for the development community and interested residents.
This session will include:
- An overview of development charges
- A summary of recent legislative changes
- Information on the current Development Charge By-law 2019-100
- An opportunity to ask questions
The study is in its early stages. This first session will focus on housekeeping updates to the existing by-law.
Future engagement opportunities will be added to this page, including sessions related to proposed changes to fees and development charge grant programs.
