Norfolk County is developing its first Transit Master Plan (TMP) to support efficient, sustainable transit that meets our growing needs. The TMP will provide a comprehensive review, insight, strategies to reach growth areas within the County for the next ten (10) years, and recommendations for longer-term strategy.
We aim to understand the transportation needs of transit users and residents, identify gaps and opportunities in the current system, and help build a future network that responds to these needs.
This project includes significant public engagement that we will complete in two rounds. Round 1: Envisioning Success aims to understand the public’s perspective of Ride Norfolk’s services, including:
Current and past successes of the existing service
Current travel behaviour and needs
Areas to focus on for the future
As part of Round 1 of our engagement, we seek input from all residents, even non-transit users, to provide feedback on current travel needs, experiences using public transit in Norfolk County, and service changes and improvement opportunities. Your participation will contribute to the development of preliminary recommendations. A second round of public engagement will be conducted in the fall to share our analysis and preliminary recommendations with the public and stakeholders for review and input and to confirm that the developed solutions fit and reflect residents’ needs.
The survey consists of 3 sections:
1. Your Experience of Ride Norfolk Today
a. Local On-Demand Service
b. Brantford Fixed Route Service
2. Looking Forward: Ride Norfolk in the Future
3. Demographics
This survey is anonymous. It will take approximately 10 to 15 minutes to complete.
The survey will close at the end of the day on July 8th, 2024. More information can be found here.
